Measuring Academic Return on Investment (ROI)

When evaluating the success of a particular program or intervention, school districts often ask, “How did students in the program grow?” While this is an important question, we believe a better question exists. We suggest asking the question, “How did students in the program grow compared to how they would have grown without the program?”
