AASA What Works: Data Analytics to Assess Learning Loss and Recovery
In this unprecedented time of change and challenge, school districts are absorbed in logistics of going forward to school in a few weeks, leaders are considering numerous decisions regarding transportation, social distancing, face masks and other safety measures. As well, educational leaders and teachers are planning for instructional delivery in remote settings at scale. A major challenge that looms is how to craft instruction without a context of each student’s learning loss and how to measure student growth as they move through this fall.
Join AASA’s guest, data analytics expert Dr. John Gatta in examining how to quantify learning loss and develop personalized learning recovery plans. As some students participate in fully remote learning and some engage in hybrid models of delivery, determining the impact on learning will be important to track and understand. Charting learning recovery for subgroups of students will also be important to ascertain impact of learning delivery systems. Data analytics can be instructive and increase understanding for action. This webinar will illustrate data analytic tools that can increase understanding for action.
