Oak Park Elementary School District 97 seeks an exceptional individual to join the District’s leadership team and serve as a leader and financial steward in the position of Assistant Superintendent of Finance & Operations. The Assistant Superintendent of Finance & Operations serves as the Chief Financial Officer and School Treasurer and is fully responsible for the development and maintenance of all appropriate procedures and internal controls to insure the security of all District assets. This administrator also oversees the Buildings & Grounds, Food Service and Transportation Departments. Compensation for this position will be highly competitive and commensurate with the education and experience of the individual selected.
District 97 is the public elementary school district located in Oak Park, Illinois. The district has eight elementary schools and two middle schools, provides a well-rounded education to nearly 6,100 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, and employs more than 800 highly qualified certified and non-certified staff members.
Oak Park is a vibrant and diverse community conveniently located just 10 miles west of downtown Chicago and was named one of the 20 Best Towns & Neighborhoods in Chicago & the Suburbs by Chicago Magazine.
